Golfers, improve your game and avoid injuries! Here are some helpful hints:

)As a round lasts several hours, fatigue can be an issue. Fatigue can lead to poor muscle recruitment and a reduction in complex motor patterns. To avoid fatigue, be sure to consume complex carbohydrates such as whole grains, nuts, seeds and fruit. These will provide a slow release of energy and improve concentration. It is also important to remain hydrated.

)Prepare your body for golf specific movements by warming up with stretches and movements that replicate golfing actions.

)Improve your swing by stretching out your hips and pelvis as well as your shoulders. Also practice thoracic (trunk) rotation while maintaining your stance through your legs.

)Improve your power and distance by targeting strengthening exercises which involve rotation, such as cable machines, TRX(highly recommended!), kettle bells and “woodchopper” exercises.
